Georgia Power Customers on the Smart Usage plan are paying a large, hidden fee every month called a “Demand Charge”.

As of January 1 st , 2021, residents of new construction premises – homes, condos or apartments, are enrolled on this rate plan when they call for electric service.

The Georgia Public Service Commission (https://psc.ga.gov/) approved Georgia Power’s request to do this, despite credible research which shows that demand - charges unfairly allocates grid costs and increases electric bills.

 SMART USAGE = DEMAND CHARGE

As of January 2021, Georgia Power has been enrolling residential customers calling to connect service for newly built premises onto the “Smart Usage” rate plan.

Analysis shows that consumers on the Smart Usage Rate Plan pay substantially more for electricity than consumers on the traditional rate plan.

An energy professional is interested in analyzing your electric bill to confirm that you are paying more for the same amount of electricity as someone not on the Smart Usage rate plan.

Please contact Patty@coolplanetsolutions.com to have this analysis completed.

There is no charge and nothing for sale.
